CLUB WOLTERS, TEXAS
Dear Miss Thompson,
I donft remember if you are the proper person to write to about the yearbook. But, will you kindly tell whoever is in charge not to send it to me here. As you probably know my brother, Charles is in Newark State and I plowed through the yearbook when I was on pass from Ft. Dix. So I have seen it, and enjoyed it very much. We have so little space to put things here though that having it would take up valuable room which is needed for field equipment, etc. Charles will take care of it.
My brother write to me every day concerning the goingfs on at Newark State, and at times I feel as though I were still there. Miss Browne, as you probably know resides here in Texas during the summer and has promised me a visit in the near future. It certainly will be pleasant to see someone from Newark, who were so friendly and helpful during our courses there.
You know Roy Daniels is here also but his being in a different Co makes it nearly impossible for us to have any long talks. But when we get the chance we certainly do gchew the rag.h Lou Dykestra is some where in camp, but in an entirely different part than Roy and I.
Well, thatfs about the news, of course, the work is very different than that we did at college but, as the song goes, gAnother life we are starting.h Remember me to everyone there at Newark, will you?
Sincerely,
Edward Stevens
