Dear Miss Thompson,
Here it is March the eleventh already and as usual, here I am again ? way back in my correspondence. I had such a good time out at school last time I was there I left with all good intentions of writing back immediately. But, well you know how it is!
Honestly, I did have such an enjoyable time. You know I was a bit leeree about coming to school, I hadnft been there for so long and had lost track of everyone. But once I stepped over the door step ? well, home again! It was so nice talking to you and looking at the scrap book you have kept. You certainly deserve a lot of credit. That is a masterful job you are doing and have done. I know all of we service people appreciate it. It was wonderful seeing all the teachers again, too. Will you say hello to them for me please.
Since I last saw you I have reenlisted in the navy for six more months. So now Ifm a Radio man (ahem) second class ? (just like that) and waiting for transfer out of Bellmore. Will be leaving inside of two weeks. However our WR officer says wefll only be going to the large radio station in New York City. The work will be of a slightly different nature and very interesting. I am personally a bit frightened about the new prospects. Having not sent code for over a year my fist is in very bad condition and facilities for practicing at our present station are rather poor. But then gtheyh assure us gith all comes back to you sooner or later. Hope it will be sooner.
I had a good opportunity to get first hand information from one of the service women who intended that party at school. Jane Farmer came out to Bellmore for the weekend and as you can guess, we had a wonderful time. Of course we talked about school and the party. Jane assured me that it was wonderful and that she had had a wonderful time. I certainly hope to be available next time there is a get together.
By the way, Miss Thompson, I unfortunately left that copy of the Service Mens News you gave me at the school. Do you perhaps have an extra one, you could send me. Surely would appreciate it.
Time to get ready for work now so Ifll close, hoping to hear news of school and you all soon.
Sincerely
Jane B. Talbott Rm 2/c

P.S. Therefs a snap shot taken outside of the hotel we lived at when we first came to Bellmore. It was taken last April.
